A Masterpiece of Cold War Engineering Captured in Flight

Hold the raw power of the Panavia Tornado in the palm of your hand and feel the weight of a machine that once defied the limits of flight. This mini model is a physical echo of the flight line, cast from the very skin of one of the most significant aircraft in British aviation history.

The Biography of the Metal ZA326 was no ordinary airframe, but a legendary testbed that served at the Royal Aircraft Establishment at Bedford and Farnborough. As a Panavia Tornado GR1, this specific aircraft was instrumental in trials that defined the strike capability of the RAF during the twilight of the Cold War. Having flown under the callsign "Raspberry Ripple" due to its distinctive test livery, the aluminium used in this model has endured the stresses of high-speed research and supersonic development. Today, through our partnership with the Panavia Tornado Preservation Group, these reclaimed components have been preserved, ensuring the legacy of ZA326 continues far beyond the hangar.

The Founder’s Note When we first handled the reclaimed airframe of ZA326, the intent was to preserve the soul of the aircraft rather than just its shape. This model is hand-finished with a focus on the tactile connection between the owner and the history of the metal. It possesses a substantial, reassuring weight that belies its compact size, while the hand-polished finish ensures that the unique grain of the original aviation-grade aluminium is allowed to shine. Every piece is inspected to ensure it meets our exacting standards for quality, serving as a permanent, physical tribute to British engineering excellence.
